Foo Fighters Drop Prescription Drug Spoof ‘FreshPotix’ & It’s Hilarious

The Foo Fighters got jokes!

On Wednesday (October 28), the band uploaded a hilarious parody video to social media spoofing those prescription drug commercials we see far too often on TV.

The video started with a somber-looking Dave Grohl standing by a coffee pot as his voice-over played. “Ten years ago I was in the grips of a debilitating caffeine addiction,” he said. “My ability to maintain personal relationships and solid bowel movements were compromised by crippling sleep deprivation and obnoxious coffee breath.”

During his explanation, footage played of the Foo Fighters pouring cups of coffee as Grohl ran out of the room. “As the bean took over, I found myself doing anything for a fix,” he explained while he snorted coffee beans with a $100 bill and later completely missed band practice.

The sad music then transformed into an upbeat track as Grohl revealed his doctor told him about a new drug, FreshPotix, to help his addiction — and yes, it even has its own logo.

Grohl then looked upbeat and happy as he took a stroll and smelled some flowers. “That's when my doctor told me about FreshPotix, a new drug to help coffee addicts like me manage their coffee addiction,” he said.

As with any prescription drug, FreshPotix does come with a variety of side effects including but not limited to: extra toe, urge to found your own colony, Cyrusvirus, uncontrollable tattling, acid wash jeans, and more.

“Love that this is what quarantine is doing to you guys,” one fan commented on YouTube while another wrote, “Best fake ad ever!”
