Bob Dylan Calls Out Fan For Taking Photo After Near-Fall At Vienna Concert

Bob Dylan addressed his longstanding no photos policy at a recent live show in Vienna, Austria.

The fickle icon was apparently perturbed after nearly tripping over a wedge monitor during his encore and then noticing a fan snapping a photo. Whether the fan was trying to capture Dylan's close call or his earlier performance of "Blowin' In The Wind" is unclear. Either way, the singer-songwriter did not appreciate it.

"Take pictures or don't take pictures," he told the audience, as he sat down at a keyboard. "We can either play or we can pose. Okay?"

After performing "It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry," Dylan left the stage, allowing his band to finish the evening per usual with an instrumental rendition of "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues."

Audiences are informed before Dylan shows that no photos are allowed while the band is performing. Violators are generally given a warning before being ejected.

But Dylan himself rarely speaks to audiences during his live shows. Fans say he hasn't even bothered to introduce his band in years.

The 'Never Ending Tour' continues in Europe through May 7. After a six-week break, the tour resumes with a run of dates in northern Europe and the U.K. Get all the dates here.
